1. Is FedRooms.com going away on September 30, 2024?

Yes, as of 9/30/24 GSA will no longer support fedrooms.com as a contractor-provided website.

However, the FedRooms program overall will still be used for official government travel. In compliance with governmentwide policy for official government websites, GSA will no longer support fedrooms.com as a contractor-provided website as of September 30, 2024 (the date the contract is set to expire). 

2. Is it true that I will no longer be able to make hotel reservations, either for official travel or for leisure, on fedrooms.com after September 30 , 2024?

Yes, the fedrooms.com website will no longer be available after that date. 

3.Why is fedrooms.com going away?

The FedRooms Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) (1-29 nights) lodging program will continue to be available to Civilian Agency and DoD travelers on official business. In order to be compliant with governmentwide policy about official government websites and to reduce costs, GSA will no longer support fedrooms.com as a contractor-provided website as of September 30, 2024. 

4. Will I still be able to book FedRooms rates for official travel?

Yes, FedRooms rates will continue to be available for official duty travel via the government's booking tools (online via E2 Solutions, ConcurGov, Defense Travel System, and by calling the agency Travel Management Company).

5. What if I have an existing reservation that takes place after September 30, 2024?

Existing reservations will be honored.

6. Can I continue to make reservations on FedRooms.com for leisure travel?

The FedRooms.com website will accept bookings for leisure travel occurring through September 30, 2024. 

As an alternative for leisure travel after September 30, 2024, federal travelers can contact their desired hotel or go to the hotel’s website to see if any special rates for government employees are offered.

For official travel, reservations can be made via the government's booking tools (online via E2 Solutions, ConcurGov, Defense Travel System, and by calling the agency Travel Management Company).
