Extended Stay Properties Offer Benefits to FedRooms Travelers

Extended Stay hotels offer more to travelers than just an “extended stay”.

When you book a FedRooms rate, our rate guarantee always ensures no minimum length of stay requirements. This means that you can take advantage of all of the benefits that an extended stay property can provide without having to actually stay more than a night or two!

Extended stay hotel chains share common features that are often unavailable at standard hotels. These chains offer laundry facilities and guestrooms, sometimes referred to as "suites", with a dining table and kitchen. For travelers who need to work in the hotel, these suites are a great option as the dining table can double as a desk and full workspace. In your suite, most extended stay properties include a kitchen with a sink, refrigerator, microwave oven, and stove top. Some kitchens also offer dishwashers and conventional ovens, depending on the brand.

There are currently 16 extended stay chains offering these accommodations in the 2022 FedRooms program. The top five brands, along with the number of properties in the program, include:

-  237 Homewood Suites

-  176 Home2Suites

-  155 Residence Inns by Marriott

-  129 Staybridge Suites

-  66 Hyatt House

If you do happen to be staying for a week or more, many of these properties offer discounts on the nightly rate. Be sure to look for these rates and properties when booking your next trip through your agency’s preferred booking tool, your Travel Management Company (TMC), or FedRooms.com. As frequent travelers know, feeling at home while on the road is a huge benefit, and one that our extended stay program properties can provide for your next trip.
