90 percent of hotels participating in the 2020 FedRooms program have availability for booking as of early June.

Hotels Begin to Re-Open

States around the country are gradually reopening for business. If your agency is starting to resume business travel in the coming months, please consider this advice before your next hotel stay:

-  Call the property where you have reserved a room to ensure that they are open for business. With fluid and changing conditions, online systems might not be up to date with accurate information on whether or not a property is accepting travelers.

-  Verify that your email is correct and phone numbers are up to date in all relevant portals including your preferred booking tool, TMC profile and loyalty program accounts. Check your email prior to your trip, as properties will most likely reach out to upcoming travelers if there is a change in their reservation status or to confirm an upcoming stay.

-  Download or save applicable reservation information to your phone to prepare for potential touchless check-in interaction. For optimal health safety, many hotels have moved to a completely digital check-in and keyless experience to avoid the potential spread of germs that can accompany physical contact at the front desk.

90 percent of hotels participating in the 2020 FedRooms program have availability for booking as of early June. As always, FedRooms reservations ensure a 4:00 pm cancellation policy on the day of arrival for domestic stays and a 24 hours or less restrictive policy for international stays. If you do need to cancel or re-book your trip for a future date, you can do so through your preferred booking tool, reaching out to the property directly or by calling your Travel Management Company (TMC) for assistance.
