Tis the Season for Giving
The holiday season is a time for gift giving, but also for giving back. For our FedRooms travelers who want to make a difference this year, many of our hotel partner brands are providing an opportunity for you to turn your points into contributions to charity.
Below are a couple of select programs for frequent travelers to consider if you have some extra points this season.
Hilton Honors is collaborating with PointWorthy for its charitable giving initiatives. Travelers can simply set up a PointWorthy account and link your Hilton Honors account to it before searching for and selecting your desired organization. Be sure to select Hilton Honors as your method of payment!
Marriott Bonvoy enables travelers to “double your points to do good” as a special promotion from now through December 31, 2021. Members can cash out their points to contribute to dozens of charities, and Marriott will match contributions made to these four charities in particular: UNICEF USA, National Park Foundation, NAACP, and International Rescue Committee.
Some other FedRooms partner brands offer year-round opportunities. In support of communities affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, IHG Rewards members may choose to donate points to the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. Travelers may also opt to use IHG Rewards points to donate to a select group of other nonprofits found here. Radisson Rewards members can donate points to offset the carbon footprint of your trip through the First Climate initiative. Club Wyndham members are able to donate points to Vacations for Vets, a charity run by In Honor of Our Troops (IHOOT) Foundation Inc.
